Version 7.1.12 - DataGrid Fixes, Schema Search and Cloud Migration Updates
Published: 2026-05-20
We are pleased to announce the release of DbGate version 7.1.12. This update focuses mainly on usability and stability, with important fixes for DataGrid scrolling, JSONL sorting, and geometry/geography handling. It also adds schema information to database search and completes a broader series of cloud infrastructure migrations that improve availability for users worldwide.
DataGrid Scrolling and Resizing Improvements
This release resolves several long-standing issues in the DataGrid component. Scrolling behavior is now more user-friendly and consistent, fixing several reported issues that made browsing larger result sets difficult.
Column resizing has also been improved. The resize handle area is now larger, making it easier to grab and adjust column widths precisely, especially when working with dense tables.
More Stable Work with JSONL and Spatial Data
Version 7.1.12 fixes an application crash that could occur when using external sort with JSONL files.
Another crash related to invalid geometry or geography points has also been resolved. This makes working with spatial data safer, especially when imported or stored values contain malformed coordinates.
Schema Information in Database Search
Database search results now display schema information. This makes it easier to distinguish objects with similar names and navigate more quickly in databases that contain multiple schemas.
The improvement is especially useful in larger environments where the same table or view name may exist in several schemas.
Cloud Migrations
Recent releases included a migration of DbGate cloud services to new infrastructure.
The main goal of these changes is better worldwide availability and more reliable service operation. The older cloud infrastructure caused availability problems in some regions, and in certain countries users could have difficulty subscribing to Premium services. With the new infrastructure, cloud services and subscriptions are now available worldwide with improved reliability.
Please note that the DbGate Identity migration introduced in version 7.1.10 is not backward compatible, so upgrading to the newer version is required. DbGate Identity is used for sign-in and is required to access private cloud folders and files.
